Every right answer is a move.

Quizatry is trivia with a board in the middle. Answer out loud, claim the square, and chain your links before the other team does.

How it plays

Know it. Place it. Chain it.

Most quiz games keep score. Quizatry keeps territory. Every question is a square on the board, and every right answer is a step toward a winning line.

  1. 01

    Play a card

Everyone moves the same pawn. Pick a card from your hand of three, add Brain Pills to go further, and the row or column it lands on lights up.

  2. 02

    Answer out loud

Choose any open square in that line and take its question. No typing. Say it, reveal it, and the other team calls it.

  3. 03

    Claim the square

Right answers drop your link on the board. Line up four, five or six in a row, across, down or diagonally, and you win.

One twist: on your turn, the pawn counts as one of your links if it sits at the end of your line. Plan around it, or watch someone else do it.

Four corners. No mercy.

Land exactly on a corner of the track and you skip the question for something better. Or worse, if you’re on the receiving end.

  • Wildcard

Answer any open square on the board.

  • Add a link

A free link. No question asked.

  • Remove a link

Knock out one of a rival’s links.

  • Move a link

Move anyone’s link to any open square.

The signature category

Spot the odd one out. Then explain yourself.

Four options. Three of them share something. Name the one that doesn’t belong and you earn the link. Say what the other three have in common and you earn the Brain Pill too.

It’s the category that starts arguments. Have a go.

OddballDifficulty 2 of 3

Three of these share something. Which one is the odd one out?

Tap your answer. In the game you’d say it out loud and the other team would judge it.

Ways to play

One phone. Everyone in.

Pass and play, for 2 or 3 teams

Hand the phone round the table. A handoff screen keeps your cards private until the next team is ready, and the other team judges every answer, so nobody’s waiting for their turn to get involved.

Nobody around? Play the computer.

Solo mode puts you against an opponent that plays the board as well as the questions. Harder questions trip it up too, at every level.

  • EasyGets about a third of its questions right and places links almost at random.
  • MediumGets just over half right and usually picks a sensible square.
  • HardGets most right, blocks your chains, and spends Brain Pills to reach the best square.

Categories

Eight categories. All of them, in every row.

Every category you switch on appears in every row and every column, so wherever the pawn points, you get a choice. Tap a tile for a real question from the game.

Player’s Choice. You pick the category.

Opponent’s Choice. The other team picks it for you.

Your table, your rules

Quick round or long game. You decide.

Set the chain length, add a clock if your table needs one, and switch off the categories nobody wants. Then play anywhere: Quizatry needs no signal and no sign-up.

FAQ

Questions, answered.

Something else? See Support.

When does Quizatry launch?

Soon. The game is built and we’re getting it through the App Store and Google Play. We haven’t set a date, so join the waitlist and we’ll email you the day it’s out.

What can I play it on?

Quizatry is made for iPhone and Android phones. We’ll list the exact supported versions on the App Store and Google Play pages at launch.

How much does it cost?

We’ll confirm pricing before launch. Waitlist members hear it first.

How many people can play?

Two or three players or teams, sharing one phone. Teams can be as big as your sofa. Playing alone? Take on the computer at Easy, Medium or Hard.

How are answers checked?

Out loud. You say your answer, tap to reveal the real one, and the other team rules on it. Accepted alternatives are shown too, so “Washington, D.C.” and “Washington” both count. Solo, you judge yourself. Honestly.

Do I need an internet connection?

No. Every game plays offline, start to finish. When you are online, Quizatry quietly picks up new and corrected questions between games.

Do I need an account?

No. There’s no sign-up and no account. Open it and play.

What does the app collect?

Very little. No accounts, no advertising, no tracking across apps. With your permission it sends anonymous gameplay results and crash reports, which you can switch off any time in Settings. Read the privacy policy.
